Two leading housing providers have selected a sector transformation specialist to conduct strategic assessments.
St Helens-based Torus has commissioned Vantage Business Solutions to carry out a strategic assessment of its group asset management and planning.
Meanwhile, Birmingham-headquartered Longhurst Group has asked Vantage to undertake a strategic assessment and options appraisal looking at future repairs and maintenance delivery models.
During the last five years, Vantage has helped housing providers make cashable savings of more than £75million through improving financial and operational performance.
One of Vantage’s biggest areas of work is in R&M where it has had a number of high profile successes. One example is Rochdale Boroughwide Housing Association (RBH) where Vantage also carried out an R&M strategic assessment and options appraisal before going on to deliver in excess of £3million of sustainable cost savings.

The Torus Group was created last year following the merger of Helena Partnership and Golden Gates Housing Trust. Together, the Group is responsible for more than 22,000 homes.
Longhurst operates in more than 45 local authority areas across the Midlands and East of England, owning and managing just under 19,000 homes.
