The Zero Carbon Club: Helping social housing providers to achieve Net Carbon Zero

Register Your Interest Now

The Zero Carbon Club is a peer network programme that is driving forward the sectors decarbonisation strategy.

With decarbonisation at the heart of the social housing sectors agenda, Vantage were asked to develop a peer learning programme to support shared learning and create collaboration opportunities.  Through knowledge sharing, Q&A with experts and support to develop and build on their strategic plans, our aim is to facilitate a sector wide response to carbon targets.  The monthly workshops will enable you to discuss your own decarbonisation challenges, gain and reflect on valuable feedback and implement practical solutions to overcome them.

From funding & finance, customer engagement & behaviour change and retrofit strategies & technologies, our expert facilitators and speakers will give you the flexibility to create a trusted support network that works for you.

We have three initial cohorts with 10 members in each including executive directors and their sustainability leads from some of the UK’s leading Housing Associations.  We are currently accepting applications for the fourth cohort to commence in early 2022.

We are also accepting applications for the membership programme, moving from strategic to practical learning including national working groups.

Open up collaboration opportunities and create long term partnerships

“Participation in the Zero Carbon Club was a great opportunity to combine networking with learning on an ever-developing subject area.  The variety of topics covered was very extensive with space to explore the agenda during roundtable discussions and in breakout groups.  The speakers were excellent and brought a different perspective to the subject.”

Conan McKinley

Director of Asset and Building Safety, Your Housing Group

“The Zero Carbon club has provided a fantastic opportunity for us to collaborate with peers, hear from other organisations, inside and outside of the sector, on how they’re tackling the decarbonisation agenda and assess our sustainability maturity levels.  It has provided a safe and brilliant platform for us all to learn and takeaway best practice to be applied in our own organisations and potentially collaboratively with our peers.”
Neil Cox

Director of Homes, Accent Housing

“Platform have signed up to the first cohort of the Zero Carbon Club in order to access expertise, share best practice and be part of a ground-breaking group of forward thinking social landlords. Vantage have brought together a number of like-minded organisations with the aim of increasing capability and capacity across the housing sector for all things Green.  The aim of the Zero Carbon Club is to tackle both climate change via the decarbonisation of our businesses and fuel poverty for our customers.  Vantage bring both expertise and an enviable list of connections from across and outside the sector.”

Dennis Evans

Executive Director (Property) at Platform Housing Group.

“Our aim is to decarbonise our homes, whilst continuing to improve services, invest in existing homes and build more much needed affordable homes.  We are proud to be in the one of the first cohorts of the Vantage decarbonisation programme as working in partnership with other housing providers is an excellent way to help collectively find solutions to reduce carbon across the breadth of our business.  Having the forum to discuss and find solutions to such issues is invaluable, and ultimately could help with efficiency by finding common solutions across the social housing sector.”

Joe Reeves

Executive Director of Finance and Growth, Midland Heart
